Olamide Wins AFRIMA 2014 Best Album Award





Olamide can now add an AFRIMA award to the list of awards he has gotten so far. The rapper won the‘AFRIMA 2014 Best Album’ award with his ‘BADDEST GUY EVER LIVETH’ album.

The AFRIMA 2014 event hosted in partnership with The African Union Commission (AUC), unveiled its 2015 AFRIMA calendar at the African Union Secretariat, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where Olamide received his award alongside other notable African acts and a host of Nigerian journalists.


In addition to the World Press Conference and 2015 AFRIMA unveiling, Olamide also participated in a series of events while in Addis Ababa including a roundtable conference with AU executives, AFRIMA executives, select 2014 award winners and the media to discuss how to use music, culture and entertainment as tools for the development of a new Africa; a formal presentation of the AFRIMA trophy and 2014 award winners to Her Excellency, the Chairperson of the AUC, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma.

You may recall that the award-winning Baddest Guy Ever Liveth is Olamide’s third studio album which was released by YBNL Nation on November 7, 2013. The album featured top Nigerian artistes such as Pheelz, Buckwyla, Ketchup, Ice Prince, Pepenazi, Endia, Viktoh, B.Banks, Phyno, Pele Pele and Bez to appear as guest appearances on the album. The album was produced solely by ace producer Pheelz, except for the thirteenth track ‘Sitting on the Throne’.
