Avicii Concert Ends In Disaster As Dozens Are Hospitalized After Concert in Boston

Sweedish DJ, Avicii held a concert in Boston on Wednesday night. However not everyone had the best of time at the concert as reports claim that dozens of concertgoers, many of them minors, were taken to hospitals from the TD Garden Wednesday night suffering mainly from drug and alcohol problems, authorities said. According to the deputy superintendent for Boston EMS, 50 people were treated or evaluated at the scene, and 36 other patients were transported to hospitals from the Garden.

Keshi Allegedly Makes Decision To Change Osaze And Azeez

Osaze brought some urgency and creativity to the Super Eagles’ attack against Iran on Monday, but Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi said the former Russia-based forward defied his instructions even though he was playing an unfamiliar role.

Keshi is said to be disappointed with Azeez’s performance against Iran and has lined up Belgium-based Michael Uchebo to take his place.

Skipper Joseph Yobo is expected to keep his place in the first team after Turkey-based defender Godfrey Oboabona was ruled out of Saturday’s cracker as a result of a foot injury he suffered against Iran.

The Deal Is Done! Jennifer Lopez And Marc Anthony Finalize Their Divorce

After three years of separation Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are finally divorced.  They both will share custody of their 6 year old twins, Max and Emme, though J.LO will get primary custody of the children. Apparently the divorce was finalized three months ago but was not updated into the system until recently.

“This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters,” the former couple reportedly had said, in a joint statement, while announcing their split in July 2011.

The couple got married in June 2004, a week after Marc Anthony divorced his former wife whom he married in the year 2000. Anthony filed for divorce from Lopez in April 2012, asking for physical custody of the children. Lopez later filed a response in December 2013 requesting the same. According to sources Jennifer will be dishing on her love life while on the Wendy Williams show this week.

Nigerian Censors Want Biyi Bandele To Re-Edit Half of a Yellow Sun

The Nigerian Censors Board is still halting the release of the movie adaptation of Ngozi Adichie Chimamanda’s “Half of a Yellow Sun”. The board now requires the producer of the movie to cut out some sections already pointed out by the censors board.

The members of the board believe the movie could cause problems with the national security of the nation. They therefore want cuts to allow the film, partly set during Nigeria’s 1960s civil war, to be shown to Nigerians.

A statement Wednesday by the Censors Board said the board was still awaiting a response from the exhibitors to a May 27 letter “requiring the distributor to expunge/edit some clearly stated objectionable aspects.”

Vincent Enyeama is unarguably one of the best persons in the Nigerian squad at the ongoing World Cup in Brazil. In an interview with Africanfootball.com, the goalkeeper says he expects a heavy bombardment from  Bosnia-Herzegovina in their game on saturday. The 31-year-old Lille shot-stopper pulled off a game-defining save in the first half to ensure Nigeria drew 0-0 with Iran in their opening game at the World Cup on Monday.

And he said he expects a lot of shots from debutantes Bosnia, who are widely regarded as “a team of strikers” led by Manchester City star Edin Dzeko.

Enyeama told africanFootball.com, “I was on holidays for most part of the game against Iran, but it would definitely be different against Bosnia, but I’m ready.

“I know they have a more vibrant attack (than Iran) and won’t sit back like Iran did against us. They will come at us and just like us; they need the game to forge ahead.

“A goalkeeper can always keep his team in a game and that is what I will do against Bosnia.

Five Men Rape 16 Year Old Girl At Orile Iganmu

The Nigerian police have accused five men of raping a 16 year old girl at the Orile Iganmu Area of Lagos State. According to Punch,  The police said the victim was abducted and taken into the building around 2am by the suspects, who took turns to rape her.

After a police raid, three of the five suspects were arrested, while the others took to their heels.

They were arraigned on Tuesday before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrate’s Court on two counts of rape.

The suspects were identified as Shittu Taiwo (23), Riliwan Alao (32), and Sunday Akinyele (27).

The police prosecutor, DSP Etim Nkankuk, said the offence was punishable under sections 409 and 258 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2011.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge and elected summary trial.

Their defence counsel, F.S. Oladele, applied for their bail in liberal terms.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs A.A. Demi-Ajayi, admitted them to bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The father of Nigerian footballer Mikel Obi, in a recent interview Punch has said Nigeria was lacking in the form of attack during the first part of the match with Iran. Pa Michael Obi said that the only attacker up front, Victor Moses, failed to make use of several thrusts made to him from the midfield, adding that the game only made sense when Osaze  was introduced into the match. According to him,

“Nigeria needs more of stamina and attack up front if we hope to advance from this stage. I envisaged a problem when we had only one attacker upfront and he failed to make use of the many thrusts given to him from the midfield. You can see that there was a change in the play when Osaze Odemwingie was introduced.“However there is a ray of hope that we will advance from this stage and that is only and only if we put more attacking spirit into the game,”

A historic event happened in Berlin recently where dozens of elderly women gathered to celebrate the opening of the world’s first lesbian cemetary.The lesbian community in Berlin was given a 4,300-square-foot area in one of Germany’s oldest backgrounds, the Lutheran Georgen Parochial cemetery. At least 80 gay women are going to be buried there soon.                              

“Lots of us don’t have families to be buried with. Instead, we want to lie with those we’ve fought alongside, loved and lived with” explains Astrid  an elderly lesbian at the event.

After being in Coma for  a couple of weeks and allegedly waking up from coma yesterday, Nigerian singer Kefee is dead. She was on a flight to Chicaco when she fainted and and the plane had to land in Los Angeles so she could be attended to and that was when she was diagnosed with preeclempsia (disorder of pregnancy characterized by high blood pressure).

According to recent reports, a small homemade bomb exploded outside the offices of Italy’s ruling center-left Democratic Party in Florence early on Tuesday.

Police and firefighters rushed to the spot after they were alerted by local residents of explosions and fire around 04:00 local time (0200 GMT) near the PD offices. An investigation has been opened over the attack.
