You all read of the protest which students of the Lagos State University had that led to a clash with the Nigerian police. If you didn't, read it here. The scoop now is that the Lagos state Government has arrested 10 students of the Lagos State University (LASU) for protesting increment in their school fee.
News of the students arrest was given by the President of The Student Union, LASU, Mr Nurudeen Yusuf who told journalists that the students were arrested by members of the Nigerian Police Force. He also said that some of the students were being held at Area F and Akinpelu Police Station, Oshodi.
Another student who confirmed the arrest gave the names of eight students who were allegedly arrested. He gave the names as Olamide Bolarinwa, Oludare Olayinka, Victoria Oni, Timilehin Fatukasi, Babatunde Bolarinwa, Taiwo Ajaye, Olatimihan Taiwo and Segun Akani. Apparently they have been charged before an Ikeja High Court.
