FIFA Bans Players From Wearing Beats Headphones At #Brazil2014 [VIDEO]

FIFA has stopped players at the ongoing World Cup from donning the widely popular and iconic Beats By Dre Headphones.
According to reports, FIFA has an existing licensing agreement with Sony who have a competing Headphone brand. FIFA is reported to have sent every player participating in the World Cup a free set of Sony headphones.  It seems though the players are quite comfortable with their Beat headphones, especially wearing them as they alight from their team buses at the venue of soccer matches.

Beats Headphones have become a style statement and the owners of the product have an aggressive marketing strategy that utilizes sport and entertainment with a an almost occultic following.
Dys before the World Cup began, Beats Electronics released a five minute mini movie entitled “The Game Before The Game” featuring World Cup players as well as Lil Wayne and other celebrities.
Apparently this is Beats Electronics second attempt at going around licensing rules. During the 2012 Olympics in London, the headphone maker provided headphones to the U.S. Basketball team, which included Lebron James who had a stake in the company at the time.
