And The Biggest Earners [And Spenders!] In Hip Hop Right Now Are… [SEE FULL LIST AFTER THE CUT]

Forbes has released its annual list of the richest hip-hop stars around and the list includes regulars such as Dr Dre , Jay Z, Pharell as well as other such as Drake and Grammy-winning duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were part of the people who rounded the top 10 list.
Top of the list was Dr Dre who’s annual earnings for 12 months between June 2013 and 2014 are the highest of any musician in any genre it has ever evaluated, and more than the combined takings of the other 24 names on the hip-hop list released on Tuesday.

Much of the 49-year-old’s earnings this year came thanks to the $3 billion sale to Apple of the Beats high-end headphone company he founded with music executive Jimmy Iovine and other financial ventures, including cognac and vodka brands. Drake came in fourth with $33m (£20.2m) which will keep him happy, having told Forbes “if I’m not on your list, I’d be gravely disappointed” in 2013.While Seattle duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’s $32m (£19.5m) takes the last slot in the top five, edging out Kanye West’s $30m (£18.3m).

Birdman’s $24m (£14.6m), Lil Wayne’s $23m (£14m) and the $22m (£13.4m) wealth of Pharrell Williams place them above Eminem who earned an estimated $18m (£11m) to complete the top 10.
Nicki Minaj is the only female on the list having taken an estimated $14m (£8.5m)
