The accident that led to the injury of American comedian Tracy Morgan is being blamed on him by Wal-Mart. If you remember Tracy was involved in an accident at Walmart in New Jersey that saw the comedian become critically injured and another comedian left dead.
As expected Tracy sued Wal-Mart for the accident and injury sustained but what Wal-Mart seem to be putting out as a reply to the law suit seems a little bit twisted.
Wal-Mart is blaming Tracy Morgan in part for not putting on his seat belt when the accident happened claiming that might have reduced the risk of any serious injuries.
Brooke Buchanan, spokesperson for Wal-Mart, issued a statement late Monday, via USA Today:
“Wal-Mart filed its official response to the plaintiffs’ lawsuit earlier today, and the company continues to stand willing to work with Mr. Morgan and the other plaintiffs to resolve this matter.”
Tracy’s attorney, and representative of other plaintiffs said Wal-Mart’s disputes were “surprising and appalling.” ”It’s disingenuous,” Morgan’s attorney, Benedict Morelli, said. “It’s not what they said they were going to do initially, which was take full responsibility. I’m very upset, not for myself but for the families I represent.”
So do you think Tracy should be partly blamed because he wasn’t putting on his seat belt or Walmart is just being petty and disrespectful?
